Our chosen charity for next term is going to be Action Aid.
ActionAid is an international non-governmental organization whose primary aim is to work against poverty and injustice worldwide. ActionAid works with local partners in over 45 countries, helping over 15 million impoverished and disadvantaged people around the world.
Through the buy a gift programme the money we hope to raise during charity week at Happy Kids will be able to buy specific gifts. By doing this we will give the children at Happy Kids a direct understanding and say in how their money is being used. Examples of gifts we will be able to buy are donkeys, school books, bikes, bee hives or a year at school for a child. We will discuss the reasons behind these gifts and try and give the children a better understanding of why they are needed.
We would like to thank everyone who came forward with ideas for our charity week. We would have loved to have supported them all but in the end we had to make a decision based on educational potential and also on the age and understanding of the children we have at the pre-school.
Our charity week will take place on week 37, more information will follow next term.

We hope you haven’t missed our clothing rack where you can swap clothes!
Children grow quickly and there is constantly something new that is needed, this is why we wanted to create something that can help you. Our thought is that on the clothing rack you can switch clothes with each other. Hang something that doesn’t fit your child any longer and bring something else with you home.
Check the notice board for more information.
