Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival as it’s also called, is without doubt the biggest and most important celebration in China and is a very appreciated celebration at Happy Kids. Prior to the celebration we talk about why the Chinese New Year is celebrated and the fact that an important part of the celebration is to wish each other happiness and good luck for the coming year.

On the day of the celebration each child at Happy Kids gets a red envelope and a clementine to bring home. The fruit will represent good luck and fruitfulness. In the envelope they get a picture of the animal representing the upcoming year (12 animals in the Chinese zodiac) and a short text about the animal in the envelope.
